Innovatix Launches Accreditation Advisory Services
New program helps pharmacies and other healthcare providers navigate
the complex accreditation process.
March 16, 2016 (New York, NY) – Innovatix, LLC, the nation’s leading non-acute care supply chain solutions company and group purchasing organization, has launched a new consulting service designed to support pharmacies in achieving recognition from various accrediting bodies, including URAC. Named Innovatix Accreditation Advisory Services, the new fee-for-service program will leverage the company’s broad industry expertise to help improve the efficiency of this often complex, time-consuming process.
“In today’s competitive business environment the importance of third-party accreditation cannot be overstated, especially for those looking to enter into the specialty market, yet the business processes and subsequent accreditation for specialty pharmacy are not clearly understood by many owners and operators in a way that makes it actionable,” said John P. Innovatix Accreditation Advisory Services offers pharmacies three levels of support to best meet each client’s needs and available resources:
- In a Level 1 engagement, Innovatix reviews the pharmacy’s standards and processes against accreditation measures then helps refine the application prior to submission to the accrediting body.
- A Level 2 engagement is more hands-on, with Innovatix experts helping to create the required standards and processes through a series of weekly calls and monthly on-site meetings.
- Level 3 offers the most comprehensive support through a full-time consultant who prepares the pharmacy’s accreditation submission from start to finish.
The new program is the result of a pilot program that Innovatix ran with select members of its Specialty Pharmacy Management program. It proved to be a success for participants, generating new and positive experiences for members, such as Miller Drug, a family-owned, independent pharmacy in business since 1957 that recently expanded into the specialty market and wanted to achieve URAC accreditation.
